Unlike a majority of the ballers out there I didn’t start with woods ball before I started playing speedball. I’ve only played woods ball twice. Once at Gladiator in Almere cause there wasn’t anything else to do and the second time was last Sunday at a private field where I was shooting some woods ball pictures. The guys from Armed & Dangerous asked if I wanted to play a game with/against them so I did. The field was really cool with high vantage points and an open area.
Taking woods ball pictures is totally new for me. I’m used to running around the sideline of a speedball field but this is totally different. Anticipating where the action is going to be is not as easy as it seems, especially because the field is big and the bushes are dens. At some point I was wondering around for minutes without seeing a single player. It was a real challenging assignment and I had fun doing it.
